Sheriff’s Office Investigating Early Morning Shooting

Cass County Deputies were called to the area of 29000 block of East Orient Cemetery Rd. outside Harrisonville, before 7:30 am this morning after a gunshot victim showed up at an area fire department. The victim, who is not being identified, was transported to a metro hospital. The victim is expected to recover from the injuries sustained in the shooting.
No determination has been made at this time about the nature of the shooting. Detectives are still investigating the incident.
