Body found in Rural Cass County

Investigators with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Blue Springs Police Department recovered a body in rural Cass County Sunday Morning. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was notified by Blue Springs Detectives that the body was located in rural Cass County, about 2 miles west of Garden City.
The discovery is part of an ongoing investigation by the Blue Springs Police Department. The name of the victim has not been released at this time.
Deputies and Investigators were on the scene for several hours Sunday morning assisting with the investigation. The victim’s body was released to the Jackson County Medical Examiner.
