Sheriff’s Office Investigates Death of St. Louis Woman

Detectives with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the death of woman who was found shot inside a tractor trailer on Friday, in what investigators say is a possible suicide.
Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the parking lot of the Rush Hour Store at 58 Hwy and M-291 Hwy on Friday just after 4p.m. in regards to an unknown shooting call.
Deputies arrived and spoke with the driver of the truck who told them that his wife was in the sleeping berth of the truck and believed that she had been shot. They determined that the 45 year old woman, from the St. Louis area, died from what appears to be a self inflicted gunshot wound.
The body was released to the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office.
