Cass County Sheriff Reviewing Inmate Suicide

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is reviewing a case of an inmate suicide inside the Cass County Jail. Benjamin Michael Cantwell, 31, of Belton Missouri was found hanging in his cell around noon by other inmates who contacted deputies in the jail. Cass County Deputies attempted CPR without success.
Cantwell was being held on a no bond probation violation.
The body was released to the Jackson County Medical Examiner.
