Napoleon Man Killed in Dirt Bike Accident

On Wednesday April 3 around 12:30 p.m. Cass County Deputies were called to the 3800 block of E. 203rd to investigate a motor vehicle collision on private property.

According to deputies investigating the incident, Jeremy F. Engelmohr, 36, from Napoleon Missouri, was jumping a series of hills on his 2009 Yamaha dirt bike when he landed incorrectly and was thrown from the bike. Mr. Engelmohr’s head struck the ground on impact. A second rider at the track found Engelmohr and called 911. Belton Fire and EMS responded to the scene, but were unable to revive Engelmohr.

The Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene.

Mr. Engelmohr was wearing a helmet and other safety gear at the time of the incident.
