Cause of Fire at Town & County Determined.

Investigators in Cass County along with the Missouri State Fire Marshall and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms concluded their investigation of the April 25th fire at Town and County Disposal near Harrisonville. Investigators found that an electrical malfunction caused the fire that destroyed 21 vehicles and a metal building valued at approximately $5 million.
“Video from the security system provided evidence of the electrical malfunction and the source of the accidental fire. All of the investigators involved are satisfied that this is what caused the fire and that it was not criminal,” said Detective Mike Klinefelter with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
