Sheriff’s Office Investigating String of Vandalism

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a string of vandalism that occurred this weekend in rural Cass County. Around 3:00 am Saturday morning deputies were sent to the area of E. 327th and Lone Tree Rd. to investigate a report of property damage.

Deputies took information from 23 separate victims regarding damage to mailboxes, vehicle windows, and house windows. In total the suspect(s) damaged 20 mailboxes, 5 vehicles, an RV and smashed windows on one house. The general area affected was southwest of Harrisonville near Lone Tree, Horn Rd, and Belle Plain Road from E. 299 to E. 327th.

In addition to the reported vandalism deputies were also assisting the Missouri State Highway Patrol after it was reported someone was throwing items from the E. 327th St. overpass onto I-49.

Cass County Investigators estimate the total damage done by the suspect(s) at over $12,000.00.
