Cass County Tactical Team Executes Search Warrant

One person is now facing drug charges after being arrested by the Cass County Tactical Response Team Tuesday afternoon in Garden City.
Aleyssa N. Woods, 32, Garden City was arrested after deputies executed a search warrant at a residence on Spruce Street in Garden City. Two children located in the home were placed in alternative housing.
The search warrant was obtained as part of a narcotics investigation led by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Unit in cooperation with federal authorities. Investigators seized suspected narcotics during the raid.
Woods has been charged with Trafficking Drugs – 2nd Degree and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child Involving Drugs – 1st Degree, bond is set at $35,000.00 Cash Only.
Woods is currently in custody at the Cass County Jail.
“Complex cases of these types require a great deal of resources to investigate and we are committed taking criminals and drug dealers off the streets to keep Cass County safe,” said Sheriff Jeff Weber.
