Fatal House Fire South of Harrisonville

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Central Cass County Fire Protection District are on scene of a fatal house fire in the 25000 block of E 317th Street south of Harrisonville.
The Sheriff’s Office received a call of a house fire around 4:30pm. First arriving units located a fully involved residence. It’s believed the house was occupied at the time of the fire.
The Sheriff’s Office, working with Cass County Fire Investigation Team and Missouri State Fire Marshall, located two victims deceased in the structure. Investigators will work to determine the cause of the fire.
Identification of the victims will be conducted by investigators with the medical examiner’s office.
Assisting fire departments include Harrisonville Fire, Dolan West Dolan, Adrian, and Garden City Fire Departments.

Victims Identified
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has identified the two victims of a house fire on Sunday as 64 year-old Janet M. Strange-Doubledee and her daughter, 23 year-old Sarah F. Doubledee, 23.
The Cass County Fire Investigation Team and Missouri State Fire Marshall’s Office are still investigating the fire.
