Sobriety Checkpoint.

On July 10th the Cass County Sheriff’s Office conducted a DWI checkpoint on South State Route K near East Lynne. The operation checked 133 vehicles during the 4 hour checkpoint resulting in 2 arrests. Both arrests were alcohol related with one arrest for driving while intoxicated.
Checkpoint Coordinator Deputy Ben Barbarick said, “The checkpoint was very successful and more checkpoints are planned throughout this year.” Funding for this project comes from a traffic safety grant program administered by the Highway Safety Division of the Missouri Department of Transportation.
