Two People Injured in Traffic Accident

Cass County Deputies responded to single vehicle accident Wednesday morning around 10:00 on East 179th and Country Club Drive east of Mulberry near Pleasant Hill. A male and female were transported with moderate and critical injuries by Pleasant Hill EMS to an area hospital. The driver of the vehicle Christopher Schlagle, 19, and passenger Davin Lyon 19, both of Pleasant Hill were traveling eastbound on Country Club Drive when the driver lost control of the 2007 Toyota Scion and the vehicle left the roadway, flipping several times before coming to rest.
Deputies indicated that neither occupant were wearing a seat belt. The accident was investigated by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit with the assistance of Pleasant Hill Police.
