Cass County Armed Robber Charged

Cass Co. – Around 1:00 p.m. on Sunday August 10, 2008 a man entered the Spirit Gas Station at 291 Hwy and 58 Hwy armed with a handgun. The suspect pointed his weapon at a clerk and demanded money from the stores cash register.
Acting on a tip the Cass County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday arrested Levi G. Mitchell, 18 of Pleasant Hill Missouri on a traffic warrant. On Thursday Cass County Prosecutor’s charged, Levi G. Mitchell with Robbery in the First Degree alleging that on or about August 10th, 2008 the defendant forcibly stole $350.00 owned by the Spirit Store/Rush Hour, and in the course thereof the defendant was armed with a deadly weapon.
Mitchell is in the Cass County Jail held on a $100,000.00 bond.
