Charges Cass County in Shooting

At approximately 6:45 p.m. Monday Cass County Deputies responded to a reported shooting at a residence in the 1500 block of E. 187th south of Belton. Upon their arrival, deputies and EMS located a male victim, identified as 66-year-old Robert W. Walters with a possible gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries. He is still hospitalized at this time in critical condition.
Mr. Walters’ wife, Cynthia L. Walters, 60 is charged with Domestic Assault First Degree, Serious Physical Injury and Armed Criminal Action. She is currently in custody in the Cass County Jail. Her bond has been set at $200.000.
