Metro Squad Activated in Cass County Death Investigation

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has now activated the Metro Squad to assist in the investigation of a female found deceased. The Metro Squad brings investigative resources from numerous metro law enforcement agencies.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a death near I-49 and Peculiar Drive, approximately 2 miles north of Harrisonville.
Passerby discovered the body of a white female in the ditch between the southbound lanes of I-49 and Peculiar Drive around 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
