Sheriff’s Office Executes Search Warrant for Stolen Property

Cass County Investigators have spent the last two days executing multiple search warrants that will most likely continue through the end of the week. The search warrant executed at Crazy Moe’s Liquidation Center in the 19000 Block of S. Peculiar Drive, Belton on Tuesday was issued for approximately $58’000 in stolen candy from the Joplin, Missouri area. Investigators recovered the semi load of candy and approximately 10 pallets of automotive batteries valued at over $53’000.
Investigators from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Springfield Police Department and Greene County Sheriff’s Office are continuing to sort through a warehouse size area of merchandise.
At this time no one is in custody.
