Man Arrested in Garden City Arson Case

Cass Co. – A Garden City man has been charged and arrested after a lengthy investigation into several fires in Garden City. Investigators from the Garden City Fire Department, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Garden City Police, and Missouri State Fire Marshall Office have been investigating several suspicious fires since September 2007. Investigators had eight cases of suspicious fires in the last 13 months in and around Garden City. Seven of those fires have been ruled arson. The eighth fire is listed as suspicious.
On Tuesday, investigators arrested David B. Sanders, 38 of Garden City on two counts of Second Degree Arson and his bond was set at $20,000.00. Sanders is alleged to have set the fire in a mobile home at 300 Willow Lane #19 on August 12, 2008 and at 300 Willow Lane #6 on September 10, 2008 in Garden City.
