One Person Shot in Shooting
At approximately 6:45 p.m. Cass County Deputies responded to a reported shooting at a residence in the 1500 block of E. 187th south of Belton. Upon their arrival, deputies and EMS located a male victim with a possible gunshot wound. The male victim was transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries. A second person at the residence was transported to the Cass County Sheriff's Office in Harrisonville for questioning.
At this time the name and age of the victim is unknown. Investigators at the scene are in the process of securing a search warrant for the residence to continue their investigations.
