The Cass County Sheriff’s Office Regional Training Academy (CCSORTA) offers carefully curated instruction from active and experienced law enforcement officers. Recruits spend over 700 hours training on a variety of topics from driving to defensive tactics to criminal investigations. Upon graduation, recruits become Peace Officer’s Standards and Training P.O.S.T. certified with a Class A license in the state of Missouri. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was the first Sheriff’s Office in the state to offer a regional training program like CCSORTA.
