Emergency Management

Appointed as the Director of Emergency Management for Cass County in 2019, with a tenure at the Sheriff’s Office since 2005, Deputy Crane has cultivated a wealth of experience. His focus is on meteorology and communications. Since 2011, he has been a part of the Cass County Sheriff’s Office Disaster Emergency Response Team; he also actively contributes to regional and state committees. As a member of IAEM and MOEMA Emergency Management associations and having completed the FEMA Basic Academy in 2023, Deputy Crane brings a passion for emergency management to his role. His leadership, coupled with a diverse background, has been instrumental in steering emergency preparedness and response efforts in Cass County.
