Sheriff’s Office Execute Search Warrant

Cass Co. – Acting on information gained from robbery charges against a Pleasant Hill man the Cass County Tactical Team executed a search warrant in the 1600 block of Richmond St in Pleasant Hill late Thursday night. Major Weber stated that they were looking for evidence in connection with the August 10th armed robbery of the Spirit Station at 291 Hwy and 58 Hwy. While deputies in Cass County were executing a search warrant, authorities in St. Clair County were simultaneously searching a home that is connected to the case. By the end of the night, investigators had recovered the evidence they were looking for. “A handgun was recovered and is believed to be the weapon used in the robbery,” said Major Weber.
Levi G. Mitchell, 18 of Pleasant Hill, is in the Cass County Jail held on a $100,000.00 bond charged with First Degree Robbery.
