The Cass County Sheriff’s arrested two fugitives wanted from Oklahoma. On Sunday afternoon the Cass County Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous tip that two subjects seen on KC Crime Stoppers were walking in the 26000 block of Southeast Outer Road near Harrisonville.

Deputies arrived in the area and observed the male enter a residence. Deputies made contact with the homeowner who reported that an unknown male and female forced their way into the residence. Deputies, with the assistance of officers with the Harrisonville Police Department, took both subjects into custody.

Two Cass County Deputies were injured when the suspect, Richard Z. Holliday, 31, assaulted them during the arrest. All three were treated for minor injuries at an area hospital.

The female suspect was identified as Sheryl A. Stewart, 31. Both Holliday and Stewart were wanted for an outstanding drug charge in Oklahoma. Stewart is also being held on a federal bank robbery warrant.

Stewart was released to the U.S. Marshall Service. Holliday is currently being held in the Cass County Jail.
