Sheriff’s Office Receives Traffic Safety Grant

Cass Co. – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office will receive over $30,000 in Highway Safety Grant Funding. The grant monies are directed in four main areas, MoDOT Work Zone Enforcement, Sobriety Checkpoint, DWI Enforcement, and Hazardous Moving Violations.

The Sheriff’s Office will also receive several small grants throughout the year from the Missouri Safety Center for Occupant Protection, DWI Enforcement, and Aggressive Driving. The Missouri Department of Transportation will also give a small grant in December for Holiday Aggressive Driving.

We will also participate in statewide campaigns like “You Drink & Drive, You Lose” and “Click it or Ticket” said Sheriff Diehl. The new traffic grants will begin October 1, 2008.
