10-01-20 Around 10:30 pm Wednesday a deputy with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Unit stopped a vehicle on Interstate 49 near 58 Highway in Belton for a traffic violation.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Stanley R. Goldsby Jr, 33, Shreveport, Louisiana. A computer check of Goldsby revealed an active warrant from Louisiana issued September 28, 2020 for murder and attempted murder. Cass County Deputies took Goldsby into custody without incident.

Stanley Goldsby is accused of the shooting deaths of LaDarrien Taylor and Denzel Taylor in Shreveport, La. Authorities there say Goldsby went to the home where the Taylors were, got into an argument and fired shots. The two men died from their injuries at the hospital.

Goldsby is currently being held in the Cass County Jail on the Louisiana warrant for Murder 2nd Degree and Attempted 2nd Degree Murder with a $350,000 Cash Bond.
