Cass County Associate Circuit Judge William Collins in cooperation with Sheriff Dwight Diehl and Cass County Prosecuting Attorney Teresa Hensley, in an attempt to reduce the number of outstanding criminal arrest warrants, will hold an amnesty program this month.

The amnesty program will be held between June 18 and June 22, 2012 and will allow any individual presently being sought on a warrant through the Associate Circuit Court of Cass County –Division III, to have their criminal and traffic warrant set aside. Traffic tickets can be disposed of during office hours.

This is an effort not only to reduce the number of outstanding warrants, but also to allow each individual the opportunity to resolve any criminal or potential criminal matter that may currently be pending. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office currently holds 3,400 active criminal warrants issued by the courts.

Any person who takes advantage of the amnesty program can come to the Cass County Justice Center, located at 2501 West Mechanic Street in Harrisonville, between June 18 and June 22, 2012 between 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and check in with the Circuit Clerks Office.

All felony and misdemeanor warrants can be viewed on the Missouri Courts website at www.courts.mo.gov/casenet.
