Sheriff’s officials are reporting that from the inception of the investigation approximately 900 man hours have been accrued since Friday evening.

Cass County Detectives and Deputy Sheriff’s were joined Monday morning by officers from surrounding agencies including Belton, Raymore, Harrisonville and the Missouri State Highway Patrol who will assist in processing the huge scene. Major Jeff Weber stated, “50 percent of the grid area has been searched, however that area only represents 20 percent of the total property to be searched.” With the additional manpower the amount of area covered has increased but no definite timeline has been set for when the search will end.

Major Weber also released new information about items recovered from the scene. “At this time we have recovered approximately 50 items, the majority of those we believe to be bones” said Weber.

Currently the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Cass County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office are taking information from anyone who might know someone that is missing. Those people have been asked to call 816-380-5200. Currently it’s believed that the victims are all male, 20-40 years old, with known drug connections from the Kansas City Metro area.
