The Cass County Tactical Unit and investigators with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant early Monday morning in search of a meth lab.

“Detectives executed a search warrant for materials related to the manufacturing and possession of methamphetamines at a residence in the 1000 block of Knoche Court near Raymore,” said Sheriff Dwight Diehl.

Deputies entered the home and took four adults into custody and removed one juvenile. Authorities spent several hours on the scene collecting evidence. “It has been over a year and a half since we executed a search warrant on a suspected meth lab. Good enforcement and legislation concerning the manufacturing of methamphetamines has helped,” said Detective Sgt. Steve Whitmore.

The four people taken into custody were released pending laboratory analysis and formal charges.
